The first Ilfracombe folk festival was good for Amy as she appeared both days to a full Pavillion. The Sunday was headlined by Billy Bragg. Keith Donnelly said after Amy had played- "In all my appearing around the world I have seen none better than Amy Newton"

Devon radio favourite Amy Newton is a local singer/songwriter. On the Pavillion stage she impressed with her driving guitar and witty lyrics. Each time her strings were slapped another foot started tapping. She seems to be a woman with a plan so don't be surprised to see her name on a more regular basis soon.
